Lush Love

A while back, cypherx had a contest with the subject of "friends". I was in the mood to draw, but wasn't coming up with anything creative to portray friendship. So I looked through my favorites for inspiration, when I came across "Lush Love" by . This photo just screamed friendships so loudly that I instantly HAD to draw it.

To comply with the rules for the contest, I toyed with the idea of changing it to a fantasy scene by making them water nymphs or angels or something (kind of Boris Vallejo style), but the longer I looked at it, the more I just wanted to draw it as-is. Thank goodness Belenen said yes, because I was 3 hours into it before I got a response.

This turned out to be a heck of a lot more challenging than I anticipated. I lost track of the hours, but I'm guessing around 15 total.
I know why, though. I've never drawn two people at the same time. The light reflecting off of Hannah created some really interesting shading on Belenen's left side. It's also been a VERY long time (9 years) since I've drawn a full nude in color.

There are dozens of flaws and accidents I could point out, but I'm not going to, since overall I'm very happy with it.
